The Request:
As with all local authorities the need to recruit effectively, on budget and on time is key. Dartford Borough Council is no exception, and needed an outsourced recruitment partner to work closely with them to understand their culture and their unique needs. Vacancies to be advertised are hugely varied and the need for strong and broad media knowledge is critical to their success. Copywriting also needed to be imaginative, creative and above the norm to attract quality candidates into a sector they may not have previously considered, or encourage candidates to remain in the sector but within a forward thinking and rapidly developing borough!
The Response:
Development of a partnership with willingness to participate fully in the communication of knowledge from the council is Lansdowne’s approach to this long-standing and highly valued client.
From Market Managers and Environmental Health Officers to Grave-diggers and Rent Officers the range of advertising - needs is broad and varied, and requires time and co-operation to communicate the information from both the council and Lansdowne.
Lansdowne worked to develop a range of template styles that could be adopted to suit different vacancy types whilst maintaining a strong and appropriate identity. Good communication links between central HR and our account managers and media team, has meant advertising needs can be met with knowledge, speed, creativity and willing – a recipe that has bred success!
